Caramel, eggnog, cinnamon, roasted chestnuts and of course peppermint or candy canes are all part of the seasonal holiday flavors that make up this time of year! And it just wouldn’t be the same without them! Whenever it’s around Christmas time, I like to fix a healthy chocolate peppermint smoothie, so I figured I’d write up the recipe (with a bunch of different variations) for you guys!
My Holiday Must-Haves
I love the holiday season. Is there anything better than listening to Christmas music on repeat, enjoying a hot cup of cocoa, or snuggling with a partner/friends/family while watching overly-cheesy Christmas movies? I can’t think of anything! What of course helps is that people seem to be in overall better spirits!
For me the holiday season also is about creating a cozy environment at home. It just wouldn’t be the same if the home weren’t decorated for the season, or if one is freezing at. all. times. inside the house! It’s the perfect season for oversized chunky knit sweaters, woven blankets, and hats galore.

Crazy that Thanksgiving is over, right? Christmas feels like it’s right around the corner, and if I’m being honest I already started listening to holiday jingles a week ago. 😉 While the holiday mood is adding to my merry mood, I don’t understand all the people who pop up on my social media feeds who have put up their Christmas trees.
