Oh man, I can’t get enough of this smoothie! It’s the perfect combination of fresh, creamy, sweet and oh-so-satisfying! To be honest, this might be my favorite smoothie (but shhh don’t tell that to the other smoothies!).
When I’m craving something sweet, I tend to deviate towards a yogurt or a smoothie to satisfy those cravings, but hey, genius idea here! Why not combine both?! I know I know, you may now stop applauding! 😉 The best part of this smoothie is that it’s packed with protein and other good-for-you nutrients. It’s very customizable (the yogurt) and can therefore be made nut-free, soy-free, dairy-free, whatever you want-free!
Off to the actual recipe now!
Orange Dreamsicle Smoothie
(makes 1 serving)
gf, df, nf, vegan
1 orange juiced or 4 oz. pulp-free orange juice
1 vanilla soy yogurt (can sub regular yogurt, almond milk yogurt, etc.)
4 oz. water, filtered
2 scoops vanilla protein powder (I use Shaklee Vanilla Life Shake)
Ice, as needed
Add all ingredients to a blender, and enjoy! 🙂
